Federal Validation
DARPA ERIS Marketplace — Awardable
“Aesyon's technology has been competitively assessed through DARPA's Expedited Research Innovation System and designated Awardable in the ERIS Marketplace.”
This designation indicates that the solution has completed a competitive technical review and is eligible for rapid post-competitive acquisition pathways by authorized government organizations.
Department of War landing page →The ERIS Awardable designation reflects a competitive technical assessment and eligibility for rapid acquisition pathways. It does not indicate DARPA funding, endorsement, partnership, or commercial approval of Aesyon.
Current federal funding priority
Department of Energy — Engineered Copper Particle Scale-Up & Validation
Aesyon's immediate federal funding objective is to secure Department of Energy support to scale and independently validate its engineered copper particle platform for critical energy and advanced manufacturing applications.
The objective is not development of a single product. It is establishment of a scalable domestic materials platform capable of supporting multiple energy applications.

DOE development program
01
Copper Particle Production
Scale repeatable domestic production of engineered copper particles while controlling morphology, particle size, consistency, and manufacturing quality.
02
Electrical Performance
Independently characterize and benchmark conductivity against incumbent conductive materials, including silver-based systems, for targeted applications.
03
Thermal Performance
Characterize thermal conductivity and heat-transfer performance for selected energy and advanced-manufacturing applications.
04
Manufacturing Scale-Up
Advance toward continuous, commercially relevant manufacturing using relatively modest capital equipment and existing industrial processes.
05
Application Validation
Work with industry and research partners to independently test and qualify Aesyon materials in selected commercial and energy applications.
Why this matters to DOE
Mission alignment across supply, cost, performance and scale
Domestic Supply Chain
Build U.S.-based manufacturing capability around an abundant and strategically important conductive material.
Electrical & Thermal Performance
Develop copper-based materials capable of providing the conductivity and heat-transfer characteristics required by targeted next-generation energy applications.
Scalable Manufacturing
Design the platform around existing industrial equipment and manufacturing processes to reduce commercialization barriers and capital intensity.
Improved Material Economics
Preliminary application-specific economics indicate potential material-cost reductions of approximately 25–80% versus incumbent alternatives. Savings require application-specific validation.
Briefing documents are being prepared; requests are currently routed through the Aesyon contact form.

Strategic priority areas
Where the platform supports public mission objectives
Domestic supply chain resilience
Copper is abundant and can be sourced and processed through resilient domestic pathways, reducing dependence on concentrated precious-metal supply.
Critical materials strategy
Substituting engineered copper where precious metals are used today reduces exposure to constrained critical material flows.
Grid security and modernization
Conductive materials for the power electronics and equipment used to harden, expand and modernize electrical infrastructure.
Defense-adjacent electronics
EMI/EMF shielding materials that protect sensitive electronics operating in demanding electromagnetic environments.
Advanced manufacturing
Materials designed for compatibility with existing domestic manufacturing processes and additive electronics methods.
Sustainability mandates
Lower embodied carbon intensity relative to precious-metal conductive materials, supporting procurement sustainability criteria.
Aesyon's technologies are under development. Statements regarding supply chain, cost and sustainability benefits are based on internal analysis and remain subject to application-specific validation.
Engagement
Working with agencies, labs and program offices
Aesyon engages through collaborative research, technology evaluation, prime and subcontractor relationships, and application-specific development programs.
Research collaboration
Joint development and testing with federal labs and academic partners.
Technology evaluation
Structured evaluation of material performance against program requirements.
Program participation
Participation in advanced materials, grid and manufacturing initiatives.
