Sustainability
Material choices are infrastructure carbon choices
The conductive materials inside energy and electronics infrastructure carry meaningful embodied impact. Copper offers a lower-intensity, highly recyclable alternative to precious-metal conductive materials in applications where it can substitute.
Lower embodied carbon
Copper extraction and refining is substantially less carbon-intensive per unit than silver, reducing the embodied impact of conductive material content.
Recyclability
Copper is one of the most widely recycled industrial metals, supporting circular material flows at end of life.
Resilient sourcing
Broad availability and domestic processing pathways reduce reliance on concentrated, high-impact supply chains.
Sustainability statements are directional and based on published material data and internal analysis. Lifecycle impact in any specific product depends on formulation, processing and end-use conditions, and has not been independently certified for all applications.
Potential material recovery
A future pathway for recovering conductive material
Certain Aesyon material architectures may provide a future pathway for recovery and reformulation of conductive material.
- Lower cost•
- Supply security•
- Domestic manufacturing•
- Potential material recovery
This remains a development opportunity and should not be presented as a commercially proven recycling process.
Design principle
Sustainability that does not require a performance trade
Aesyon's position is that lower-impact materials only get adopted when they are cost competitive and meet the same performance, and manufacturing requirements as the incumbent. The platform is engineered to that standard.
